Reportage uses raw footage of a video taken one day from my studio in Havana. While I was painting, I saw though the picture windows in the park a relationship somewhat peculiar, at times violent, between a man and a woman. I kept this tape for a long time, wondering about the responsibility of its contents in terms of the life of others who ignored that I had recorded them on tape.

A year afterwards or so, I took a phrase from a work by John Baldessari and I incorporated it to the end of the video. It addresses the point to which Art must simply be a reference to reality. It is possibly the only piece I made regarding the nature of a type of art made almost homogeneously in Cuba in recent years.
