TRÍPTICO
2006. Single channel video
Aprox. 12:40 min
This Single Channel Video has 3 stories. The first is a frame-by-frame manipulation of fragments of the TV show The Sopranos. Despite seeming normal and real, the viewer should be able to realize that everything has a level of construction similar to that of a baroque painting —it took two years to edit this first fragment. The second part is a story told to me by Jan Höet about a story that Fidel Castro made up for him. I record him on video while he tells me the story… without him realizing this. The third part is a video homage to the sculpture by Jan Fabre titled “The Man Who Measures the Clouds”.
